alex asked jannek to join his project in october 2021. he had created a garage band demo of the song that roughly sketched out the arrangement and band ideas. alex needed guidance with the string arrangement and so he brought jannek on board to revise and add to the string quartet writing.

it all begins with an idea. it’s wonderful if it sounds good in your own head but others need to be able to share your vision. jannek created a comprehensive mockup of the track so that the musician and engineer could understand the goal and execute with a clear path.
