Kunja
kunja is sanskrit and refers to living in greenery. It refers to the love between the goddesses Krishna and Radha and how they found shelter and nourishment in the forest with help of all its habitants and members, such as parrots, jasmine flowers, the shading trees, their roots, the rain… We each bring our part to the table and can only create a lush forest if we let everyone take part in it and share what we can.
kunja was born in 2024 with monthly sessions in jannek’s studios in New York, bringing together a community of artists to do what they do best: create in union.
