pileus

pileus is a project by new york based producer and artist jannek zechner as well as ohio bound multi instrumentalist and savant chase potter.

both jannek and chase have worked with a multitude of other artists ranging from lisa bella donna to the imax movie ‘moonage daydream’. after a 3 day writing camp in new york the two realized that they click incredibly well on a musical level and decided to form their duo ‘pileus'.

Inspired by brian eno, isao tomita, four tet and the entire world of indie folk and americana, pileus takes their time in building worlds, letting themes develop and not conforming to a 3 minute radio-friendly standard.
