liquify speaks to the free flowing mind, subtly moving around obstacles with ease.

after spending the majority of his career as a musician playing and producing for other artists, he now ventures into the depths of his own creative imagination .

as he left new york for half a year in 2020, he grabbed 2 synths and a guitar and started writing. what came of it is a large body of work, inspired by the calmness and mindfulness he experienced during his time in isolation. the coastal influence is clearly heard in his music as he channels his love for nature, something that’s hard to express living in manhattan.

the work on these songs was continued upon his return to new york, where he tirelessly crafted sounds and songs at the ‘human’ studios in chelsea.

nestled in the depth between new age, neo-classical and ambient music, jannek draws from the inspirations that have come to him during his recent years in new york, as he cherishes his more blues and folk related roots and moves to new musical waters.

this first single is from the upcoming album ‘sunbow’, which will be released on september 17th 2021, featuring new york stars like Tony Visconti (Bowie), Clemens Grassmann and Donny McCaslin.

“ i got to hear all these isolated brian eno stems while working on a major david bowie project throughout the last 2 years. hearing how he combined simple elements into majestic textures was an unimaginable inspiration”
